County FFA Sweep Soil Judging Across Lancaster Contests
Lancaster and York counties saw County Future Farmers sweep the top six places in the Land Use and Management contest held on Howard Perry’s York farm. Martin Wenrich, 15, of Denver R2 and a Cocalico Union student, won. Harold Lefever of Quarryville R2 and Solanco High School veteran led the challengers. Cocalico and Solanco chapters placed multiple competitors as New Holland High placed another Lancaster scorer. A York County member finished seventh while Solanco tied for eighth. The first three placers from each county advance to the state contest during FFA week.
