Buffalo City Mission calls for volunteers for Thanksgiving turkey drive
Volunteers will deliver 5000 meals to Western New York residents from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. The hotline opens Monday November 4 for two weeks at 716-854-8181 and online at buffalocitymission.org. Meals cost about 2.49 each to make and 175 delivery drivers will run the effort from the Buffalo City Mission at 100 E. Tupper St. and related activities, with a first come, first served distribution and additional frozen turkey handouts on November 21 and 22.
