Audrey Hamernik ailing to long service and public spirit
Audrey Hamernik village trustee and community organizer died October fifth after a battle with declining health. A longtime Tops employee and government volunteer she led food pantry drives fundraising and youth programs, shaping Depew through DCAT and the Dom Polski center revitalization. Her efforts earned praise from Depew Mayor Kevin Peterson and touched firefighters and local charities alike.
