Lancaster IDA hears on dairy coop expansion and warehousing plans
Lancaster's industrial development agency heard that the Upstate Niagra Cooperative will upgrade its Lancaster headquarters on Pleasant View Drive, adding equipment and space for about 150 current employees with potential total staff of 160 to 200. The project, supported by tax credits on a 2 million dollar investment, could save about 175 thousand dollars and pave the way for an 80 acre trucking hub. Uniland Development and other warehousing expansion options near Walden Avenue were discussed, with steps needing town board action before IDA approval. Lemaster was reappointed chairman of the Lancaster IDA.
