Kiwanis to Host Lancaster Area Pizza Contest Again
The Kiwanis Club of Lancaster announces a repeat Lancaster Area Pizza Contest set for Sunday Feb 4 from 1 to 3 PM at the Elks Lodge on Legion Parkway. At least six local pizzerias will compete across categories such as best sauce best specialty and best overall pizza in Lancaster and Depew.

Fire displaces 50 residents at Lancaster Rose Court
A morning blaze at Rose Court Apartments on Robert Drive drew Lancaster Depew Bowmansville Town Line Twin District and Bellvue fire crews. One Depew firefighter was injured and about 50 residents were left homeless. Local officials praised responders and aid groups at a Lancaster Village Board meeting, noting the Senior Center and Lancaster Youth Bureau provided shelter, clothing, food, and other essentials. Additional temporary lodging and support were arranged for displaced families, including a woman due to give birth next week.
