The Golden Tornadoes travel to Andrews for a district 2-AAAA game against the Mustang squad led by Keith Brooks. Lamesa Girls Beat Whirlwinds 3-2 In Seven-Game Set
Brownfield seventh graders fell to Lamesa in a tight three game series, then were swept in the B team rematch. Lamesa posted strong serving with 91 percent accuracy, while Brownfield traded wins 17-15 in the first and second games before claiming the deciding 15-11. The seventh grade squads head to Denver City tournament Saturday.

Freshmen spikers beat Lobos 3-0 in district clash
The Golden Tornado freshmen volleyball team improved to 9-1 by defeating Monahans in three games. Lamesa took game one 15-11, lost game two 4-15, then sealed the win with a 12-6 victory in game three. The freshmen host Andrews Thursday in the LHS girls gym.
