Tillman injured in train accident near Augusta
Col James H Tillman of Edges Held was injured Tuesday night on a Clarkn Hill to Augusta train when a baggage car lurched and a heavy trunk fell on his right foot crushing several small bones. He was taken to Augusta Hospital and kept in ward for several days as bones knit.

Salem Mich July 20 thirty two excursionists were killed and one hundred more were injured when a Pere Marquette train carrying nearly a thousand shop workers from Tonia was struck by a freight train at a crossing about twenty miles east of Salem. Doctors were rushed to the scene and the wrecking crew dispatched before the collision.

Harriaburg Man Shoots Wife and Family In Tragedy
Suntor Phillips, a city workhouse keeper, shot his wife four times with three bullets hitting the breast and one through the abdomen. He then fired at his sister-in-law Mrs. Kyle Watkins injuring her left side, and shot Thomas Gilles aged 18 in the shoulder. He blamed alienation of his wife’s affections. All victims are in serious condition.
