Ex Mayor Zenkl to Speak in Kent Monday Evening

Former Prague mayor Peter Zenkl will address a Kent gathering Monday November 1 at 7 30 p m. The talk, arranged by the Kent town meeting with Cleveland council on foreign affairs and university committee, covers Czechoslovakia’s story and potential Cleveland council affiliate in Kent.

YoCo Dance Time Change at Kent State Youngstown Rivalry

The YoCo dance now runs 9 30 to 12 30 Friday after the Kent State versus Youngstown football game. Guy Shelley announces the change and Ross Halamay will lead his orchestra. Proceeds go to the Memorial Stadium fund, with the Paddle presented at intermission by the losing team to the winning captain.

Sophomore drama student Anne Blackwelder was reported in good condition after three weeks in Akron Children's Hospital. Her illness included throat paralysis treated with penicillin, leaving her able to whisper then speak. She stars in university productions and hopes to return to KSU soon.

Edward Pakish, a Kansas State University art major, earned honorable mention in the first annual Cleveland Junior Chamber of Commerce exhibition. The show, open to Cleveland artists aged 21 to 35, will hang through November 6.

Kent State University transfers deeds for three parcels totaling 75 000 dollars. Alma Godfrey Katherine Fisher and the Munzenmayer farm add about 95 acres near Summit and Main streets. Trustees moved to expand amid a four million dollar construction program as enrollment nears 6 668 students.

Three Queen Candidates for 1948 Homecoming Chosen Tonight

Three juniors or seniors with 2.0 GPA will be judged privately at 7 in Moulton hall music room. On November 3 one of the three will be elected queen in university elections. The winner will reign at homecoming on November 6, receive flowers at the Bowling Green Kent game, sit with the Bowman couple, and be crowned at the Wills gym homecoming dance. Judges include Vernon Cady, S Sherr, and A Clarke Miller.
