Student and reserve tickets for the October 29 homecoming football game between the University of Connecticut and Kent State are on sale at the athletic ticket office in front of Wills Gym. The office operates 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and next week from Monday to Friday.

Fraternity Football Shuts Spark Wednesday Play

Three shutouts highlight Wednesday afternoon games. Delta Upsilon beat Alpha Phi Beta 24 to 0 and Gamma Tau Delta defeated Alpha Epsilon Pi 19 to 0. Phi Beta Phi and Kappa Sigma Chi tied 0 0 but Betas earned a victory by decision for penetration into Kappa Sig territory. In an independent game the Ledgers won 28 to 6 over Terrace.

Mancos Tops Conference On Receiving TD Passes

Jack Mancos, nicknamed Wahoo, leads the Ohio Conference in receiving TDs with three from nine catches. He ranks fifth in rushing at 288 yards on 6.13 yards per carry. Kent quarterback Jerry Tuttle is second in TD passes with six and has 20 completions for 344 yards as of Oct. 20.

Cadets Practice for 1949 ROTC Rifle Team

Seventy eight ROTC cadets reported for the 1949 rifle squad under Master Sgt. Andrew Roney. He will trim the list to 55 before the December meet with Toledo University and the Hearst and Second Army matches. The squad, undefeated in three independent meets last season, will focus on fundamentals at first with a three point range, moving to a seven point range in the new student union next month.

KSU Rooters Meet Kenyon

Kent State's soccer team travels to Gambier to face Kenyon College Lords in their third game of the season. The squad seeks its first win and adjusts lineup including goalkeepers Bob London or Dick Bloch and players Hornish Slick Hyde at half back with Bizic Brown Hempel or Wardwell as fullbacks and Wattleworth Danilo Sternweiller Simpson or Gobel Garver on the line.
