The university boasts a spotless campus driving record but rising student traffic threatens it. Of 1424 registered cars 507 have Kent addresses and 202 are from residents within three blocks. Half of towed vehicles come from these students causing overcrowded lots and long walks for commuters.

Local churches list pastors and service times including Kent Methodist, Faith Lutheran, Trinity Lutheran, Church of the Brethren, First Universalist, First Christian, Episcopal, Congregational, Union Baptist, St Patrick's, Church of the Nazarene, Spelman AME, Free Methodist, Grace Gospel Chapel, Church of God, First Spiritualist, Kent Four Square with current status notes and weekly schedules.
All students must present an activity card to enter home athletic events and social functions. Tickets are available in the atrium or registrar’s office for admission to the Kent Bluffton game.
