Ex-GIs To Return To Green Army Barracks Homes
Ex servicemen at the university are slated to move into green army barracks within two weeks as 250 students await housing. Heating and water issues delayed October 1 opening of five ex-hospital one-story buildings on the northeast campus. The Bed for a Vet drive and veteran groups expanded dorm capacity, adding rooms and increasing women’s housing. Maple Grove housing for war workers became student quarters for 250 married couples and 135 singles with bus service. A $500000 men’s dormitory for 250 students was approved with bids soon to be sought.

Veterans Urda Reenrollment Drive At VA Office
Over 500 veterans under public law 346 who pre registered in August have not signed the VA reenrollment form. Mike Urda VA training officer will be in Dewey Barichs office every Monday Tuesday Thursday and Friday from 9 a m to 4 p m. Veterans will not receive subsistence checks unless details are completed with Urda.
