Burrs Still Available at Burr Office for Students
Students may pick up 1947 Chestnut Burrs by showing spring quarter activity cards at the Burr office 113. New students who missed any quarter since Fall 1946 must pay for those quarters, totaling five dollars. Burr editor Frank Carioti will announce new staff appointments next week. Members will be chosen from the 35 students at the Tuesday meeting as Carioti outlines the book theme and coverage.

Sidewalks to End Mud Wading at Terrace Lodge
End of mud wading nears as new roads are completed between Main street and the cafeteria and between Main street and Terrace Lodge offices. Black-top sidewalks are prepared between dormitories and Lodge entrances, with expected paths for students in temporary North and South halls, promised by Business Manager Emil Berg.

Prof. G. Harry Wright and his wife present informal talk at Moulton hall music room at 8 this evening about research on showboats from a 10 000 mile summer trip. Wright details travel through New Orleans St Louis Illinois and the Mississippi and Ohio rivers plus Bayou country aided by library records and interviews. They visited the last active showboat in St Louis during their journey.

Naming Contest Ends At Noon For New Student Union
Contest closes at noon today with entries dropped in the States office box. Hub is avoided due to another center name. other proposals include The Spot Sherwood Hall and Chatter Center. Winners get a free night at the center and two bus tickets to the Kent Wooster game from the Booster club. Attendance favors men in the morning 9 am to 2 30 pm and shifts to more women 2 30 pm to 7 pm per coordinators Mrs Ward and Mr Reno.
