ISA Social Calendar Highlights Fall Activities at KSU

ISA President George Taimuty outlined aims of the Independent Student Association and its open membership policy. Fall events include a hayride October 15, a swimming party October 21, an informal dance October 23, a barn party October 29, Autumn Nocturn November 13, a swim party November 19, bowling November 20, and Holiday Prelude December 11. Membership drive runs with 25 cent quarterly fees. non fraternity or sorority members may join.

Allocations Elects New Chairman at First Meeting

Warren Lashley forensics representative on the allocations committee was elected chairman at the first meeting of the year. The panel learned this quarter’s student activities funds total about 27 500 dollars. Rosemary Grzincic was elected secretary. Pat West and Martha Lan singer announced resignations, to be effective after Student Council confirmation. Next meeting and budget submittals planned for early next week.

University Theatre Prepares For Return of Peter Grimm

University Theatre fills most roles for Fall production The Return of Peter Grimm to be staged November 4 5 and 6 in the auditorium under Prof E Turner Stump. Cast includes Rick Morris as James Geraldine Carroll as Catherine Don Shanover as Frederick Edward D Shelton as Peter Grimm and others with three parts yet to be cast.

Form Workshop at University Theatre to Meet Today

The University Theatre workshop, a new organization, will meet today at 4 p m in the auditorium. Anyone interested in theatre from any standpoint is invited to attend. The group will aid UT plays and present a series of one act plays in Moulton hall.

Prof Diles Named New Education Counselor at University

Miss Dorothy V. Diles becomes vocational education counselor this fall under Dr. Dwight L. Arnold. She will advise students on educational plans and personal problems as part of expanded university guidance funded by a National Mental Health act grant through Ohio Welfare Division. Diles served 29 months in WAVES as personnel officer and was assistant dean of women at Miami University Ohio. Her background includes high school principal, English department head, guidance director and speech roles.

Seek 2 Judges In Auto Court

Students may apply to the traffic office before Friday to become traffic court justices. The Student Council will select two applicants from the list. Eligible are men or women, Greek or independent. This year’s chief justice is Dave Kaplan, independent. Applicants need a 2.0 average and three undergraduate quarters remaining.
