Boosters Rally Tonight At Rockwell Field
Booster club chair Joe Friedman says the pep rally will start at 8 pm on Rockwell field with Roy D. Metcalf and the university band, followed by a parade through Kent business district. Coaches Trevor Rees and George Lynn, and the Golden Flash squad, will join the festivities with the varsity cheering squad leading cheers. ISA president George Taimuty notes an independent bonfire, and all fraternities sororities and independents are urged to bring placards for the rally and parade. A Welcome Waynesburg pennant will hang under the Memorial stadium press box and Gold and Blue crepe decorates the posts with a surprise pre game stunt planned.
