Alpha Omega Barred From Winter Bidding By Pan Hell
The Pan Hellenic advisory committee ruled Alpha Omega sorority cannot participate in open or closed winter bidding after it awarded a prize to a rushee in violation of rushing rules. The panel recommended adding the word prize to the rules to prevent future misunderstandings. Last year open bidding was restricted for nine weeks after Alpha Omega sent flowers to the homecoming queen, a rushee.
