Pork Barrel comedy set for December 10 at University auditorium

AAUP faculty to hold first meeting Tuesday at the Robinhood. The Pork Barrel of 1940 combines Funfest and PopNite with nine groups and five individuals entering eight minute acts for prizes. Eliminations December 9 select three fraternities three sororities two clubs two dorms and five individuals to compete for five cups. Judging by three faculty and two students. Red Cross Opens Membership Drive at University Chapter

The University branch of the American Red Cross starts its membership drive under Prof. Fren Musselman. Last year the Red Cross aided 102 domestic disasters including earthquakes and tornadoes and sent 35 million pounds of relief abroad while training 95 thousand in rescue and 379 thousand in first aid.

Rehearsals Relocated for Handel’s Messiah

Rehearsal for Handel's Messiah moved from Wednesday November 20 to Tuesday November 19 in room 312 Merrill Hall. The Wednesday November 27 meeting shifts to Thursday November 28 at the training school auditorium.

Law Named Executive Secretary of Kent State University

O B Law, longtime technical laboratory engineer and president of Laboratory Furniture Company, is appointed executive secretary to the Kent State University president effective today. The role, first of its kind, will help prepare budgets for board review and secure state appropriations. The secretary reports to the board and will issue monthly budgetary status by sub divisions.

Debaters Set for Kent State Practice Tournament

Four Kent State speakers will compete in a Denison University practice debate on Saturday November 16. No decision will be rendered. The team will argue that nations of the Western Hemisphere form a perfect union with Powell and McGinnis on the affirmative and Beal and Rickey on the negative. Powell previously earned a superior rating in a national forensic contest in Chicago.
