Kent to Aid in Meeting National High School Editors
Kent State University School of Journalism has been chosen by the National Scholastic Press Association to participate in the national convention in Cleveland on November 29. Kent will oversee the section for high school editors, with panel discussions and an introductory talk by Journalism School chairman William D. Taylor. Panel members include Eleanor Star, Matthew Fenn, and editors from Irvington, Parma, Mentor, Toronto, Springfield, Akron, and North High.

Frederick Marbut Joins Kent State Faculty as Journalism Instructor
Frederick Marbut is named the newest member of Kent State University's faculty, succeeding A. Clarence Smith as journalism instructor. He will begin teaching next semester. Marbut, praised by Prof. William D. Taylor for his strong field background, hails from Missouri and earned degrees from the University of Missouri George Washington University and Harvard.
