University president Dr K C Leebrick advised Gordon Hostettler to resign one of his elected positions, either senior class president or student council president, to ease campus politics. He cited ongoing discussions about office conflict and hinted at possible eligibility rules or a point system to govern holdings.
Kent State University will not receive accreditation from the American Association of Universities until 1941, delaying the campus adoption of nationally social fraternities and sororities. Dr. K. C. Leebrick and Registrar E. C. Stopher described the policy, its impact on bids, and the need for local chapter approval.
The Sigma Tau Gamma smoker for unaffiliated men will be held at the fraternity house at 202 North Lincoln Street tomorrow night at 7 30 p m. It follows a false alarm and is the final event in a series of open smokers with plans for extensive entertainment.
The Pigskin Prom, staged before the season finale, will be held December 1 in Wills gym. Mark Treat, chairman, announced the event under the Varsity K club with the football team selecting the queen.
Dr. Leebrick warned that if the student body fails to solve the problem the administration may have to act. He cited hostile student opinions and urged adherence to sound political principles for efficiency in student government. Resigning a major office by Hostettler could set a precedent aiding future growth of the university's student government.

A student council meeting appointed a five member unaffiliated committee to investigate the recent election. The panel may hear evidence of election smearing with open attendance for observers, while testifying individuals are restricted from sitting in.
Ralph L. Lee of General Motors spoke on The Development of American Industry at the KSU assembly. He warned that industry does not arise from genius but from hard work and collective effort, and urged students to build lives on a strong foundation and practical horse sense.
