Students Debate Independent Athletic Fund At Meeting

The student government meeting ended in confusion after a heated discussion on parliamentary procedure. Don Moore won passage of a motion to separate athletic funds from student activity fees and have disbursements controlled by the athletics director. The plan awaits approval from President George A Bowman and the university board of trustees via the student council.

Kent State Drum Majorettes to Lead Armistice Parade

Ruth Ann Cleaver will lead the university drum majorettes for a second year as they strut with the 60 piece band in Kent's Armistice day parade Sunday. Other members include Marilyn Cox Jessie Gluck Harriett Russell and Phyllis Swallow all sophomores with prior high school majorette experience. Roy Metcalf band director will judge the high school group competition in Canton.
