ROTC Pre-Registration Opens for October Enrollment

Lt. Col. Thomas F. Wall announced the final week to pre-register and secure a physical exam for the new Advanced ROTC class to begin next October. An army medical board examined 60 pre-registered veterans at the KSU dispensary, with more exams scheduled Friday.

Beta Gams Hold Fest Promises Fun and Fund Drive

Beta Gams host an ice cream festival in the sorority house at 213 University Drive from 7 to 10 p m. Attendees buy fifty cent tickets for a seat in the KSU Memorial Stadium fund drive and enjoy street dancing, games, and homemade cakes. Chaperones include Dr. and Mrs. Shriver, Williams, and Beck.

Freshman Tests Postponed to Friday at University

Freshman required tests originally set for today are moved to Friday. Dr D L Arnold says the Cooperative Reading test Scholastic Aptitude exam Kuder Preference record and Strong Vocational Interest test will be in the university auditorium Friday morning from 9 to 12. The ACE Scholastic Aptitude test and Cooperative Reading test occur at 9 and 10 a.m. No time limit on the Kuder and Strong tests. students may start anytime.

Senior Picnic Tickets On Sale for June 9 Event

Tickets are on sale this week for the senior picnic to be held Wednesday June 9 at 3 pm at Adelle Durbin park near Stow. Tickets cost 75 cents and are available at the Kent hall atrium corridor table. Senior announcements will come from the same table this week and guests may be brought per social chairman Bernice Looney.

The Eighth Annual Rowboat Regatta at Brady Lake Park on June 5 will host a bathing beauty contest with a regatta queen chosen at 2:30 PM. Proceeds from tickets and sales benefit the stadium fund, with events including an exhibition baseball game and dancing. Participants must pass a swimming test, entries due by June 1, and boats will be inspected before races.
