Graduation Hop Tonight in Akron
The ROTC unit sponsors a Graduation Hop at East Market Gardens Akron from 9 to 1 a.m. tonight. The $3 per couple includes a corsage with music by Andy Imperial and his orchestra. All students and faculty are invited and tickets are available at the ROTC office in the Hub.

Dormitory Policy Sets 2.0 Average for Fall 1949
University housing will admit only students with a 2.0 or higher accumulative average by the end of winter quarter for the fall quarter 1949. The policy, supported by President George A. Bowman and approved by the board, emphasizes serious academic effort. Freshmen must place in the upper third of their class for room preference. Terrace Lodge will close for the summer.

University students will be recognized for top scholastic achievement at Kent State's annual Honors Day on May 25. Dean Robert I White will speak on Scholarship and Democratic Society. Awards include Engleman in English and education American Chemical Society citations Chi Omega sociology award and Phi Alpha Theta for history with Phi Beta Kappa honors and a straight A four year award. Nine Annual Rowboat Regatta Entries At Kent Park
Four groups sign for the Stat er-sponsored regatta to be held June 4 at Brady Lake park. Friars Phi Kappa Delta Tau Kappa and Gamma Phi Beta enter in fraternity and sorority divisions with plans for a parade band radio coverage and a queen selection. Over 50 students from eight fraternities eight sororities and six independents have passed swimming tests. May 26 is the entry deadline with two days next week for remaining trials and queen entries.
