Tug of War At Regatta Set For June Three At Sandy Lake
In conjunction with the row boat regatta, Phi Gamma Theta sponsors an interfraternity tug of war on June 3 at Sandy Lake. Ten men per team plus two alternates must be listed by May 26. Single elimination, 2.0 GPA required, jacketed 70s era. The winning fraternity takes a rotating trophy engraved with its name and date.

Blue Key Initiates 33 New Members and Elects Officers
Blue Key, a men's national service honorary, initiated 33 new members and elected officers for the coming year. Trustees Approve Faculty Contracts at University
New contracts for about 325 faculty and staff were approved by the board led by President George A. Bowman. Five new appointments were set for next year along with leaves of absence transfers and resignations. Dr Raymond M Clark was named dean of the graduate school and several new supervising teachers and staff were named for fall. A new master of education degree was approved and resignations were accepted from multiple faculty members.

A C 47 transport will carry 16 university ROTC members of the Pershing Rifles to Lexington Kentucky for the group’s competitive drill at the University of Kentucky.
