The 288 page Burr yearbook contains over 1700 photos and 2400 names with Kent city aerials by Sol Baltimore and campus photos by Robert Phillips and others. Army Officers Inspect Corpsmen during ROTC unit review

Four Army officers from infantry field artillery and cavalry will oversee the annual ROTC cadet inspection. Cadets face tactics tests oral questioning and a formal parade at 2:50 pm after a morning field test and 1:50 pm assembly.

Campus Day Plans Ready for May Queen Event

Eight women have been accepted for the May queen contest and 20 campus organizations have applied to enter floats for Campus Day. Events begin with the crowning at noon, parade at 2 p.m., songfest at 6 30 p.m., and a campus finale dance 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. in Wills gym.

OSU History Prof To Speak At University

Ohio State University history department head Prof. Lowell Ragatz will speak tomorrow at 4 p.m. in room 317 McGuffy on opportunities in the social sciences other than teaching. He also appears at a 12:30 p.m. luncheon in the Union to meet faculty and discuss informally. Faculty may reserve lunch seats by contacting Asst. Prof. Henry N. Whitney by 2 p.m. today.

Dean's Cup Entries Due for Outstanding Male Graduate

Applications for the Manchester cup must be filed with the dean of men by Friday May 19. The cup honors the winner's university contributions. screening by Deans Manchester White Spicer and Allyn. The award will be given at the Senior Men's banquet June 5 in the Union.

Rowboat Regatta Entrants Call for Applications

Queen entrants for Rowboat regatta must submit names to John Koshar Kent Stater managing editor by May 24. Groups must file by then. Candidates need cumulative 2.0 GPA and 2.0 last quarter. Northeastern Ohio Scholastic Press announces a $100 scholarship to the School of Journalism for a graduating Ohio high school senior. Prof. William Taylor, executive secretary and journalism head, said all northeastern Ohio seniors are eligible and the award will be awarded next fall.

Hot Rod Hop Friday Night Dances For Victory Bell Fund

Alpha Phi Omega sponsors the outdoor Hot Rod Hop at Wills gym tennis courts with rain backup in the training school gym. Dick Barnard says casual dress is encouraged while the event features Bob Gregory and his quintet from nine to twelve and a refreshment booth. Proceeds fund erecting a Victory Bell edifice for display in the atrium.

Mexican Art Show Traces Evolution Across Six Periods

The gallery exhibit titled Mexican Art Shown traces six eras from the pre Colombian through contemporary times. It highlights Indian ceramics, Spanish colonial copies, 19th century engravings, works by Posada, Rivera Orozco and Siquieros, and Tamayo. Pan American Union supplied much material. the show runs this week and ties to History 397 Field Trip to Mexico.
