Librarians Plan Annual Symposium at Kent State University
The seventh annual Kent State library symposium titled Do You Think Librarian Ship Is A Profession will be held Friday with talks at 2 p.m. by Anita Hostetter Helen Focke and James Fleming and at 8 p.m. by Lucile Marsch and Ralph Shaw. The Alpers Memorial award will honor Ohio library service, followed by a Luncheon reunion of KSU library graduates and a Beta Kappa Theta tea.

Mexico Themed Spring Fashion Show At Rockwell Library
The home economics department hosts a Mexican theme fashion show Thursday at 4 on the west side of Rockwell library. Fifty-one students modeled outfits created in clothing classes for a trip to Mexico this summer with co sponsorship from the history and art departments. Melba De Scenna will narrate. if rain, the show moves to Wills gym.

Correction of June 3 practice time for graduates
The commencement practice for graduating seniors will be held in the Auditorium on Tuesday June 3 at 10 a.m. correcting yesterday's Kent Stater note which had it at 1 p.m. The change updates the time to avoid confusion for attendees and participants.

IFC Outlines New Fraternity Rushing Plan
Jim Branigan of Delta Tau Delta presented an open rushing plan for the fall quarter aimed at freshmen. The approach includes an assembly, no rush list, two weeks of open smokers, six days of closed smokers, and bids by Oct 17 followed by a 15 week pledge period. A January pledge class would start with activation before summer ends. The group postponed final action for a member vote.

Architects Will Talk On Highway Symposium Theme
The third annual architecture symposium, titled The Highway The Vanishing Countryside, runs today from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Arts building. Topics cover highway beauty, zoning, and land use with speakers John Bonerake and J Gordon McKay. Proctor Noyes plans to link highway development with urban growth and visual organization. Theodore Baar, part time cello and string bass instructor, will give his graduation recital tonight at 8 15 p m in the Union ballroom. Born in Vienna he studied at the Conservatory of Vienna and played in the Vienna city symphony and the GI Symphony during World War II. Now with the Cleveland Symphony Orchestra he returns to Kent State for his first local appearance performing Handel Brahms and Strauss in a sonata program.

Champ Twirler Leads Kent Summer Music Clinic
Evelyn Thurman international baton champion will run Kent's 11th annual summer music clinic July 14 25 offering beginner to advanced classes in gun spinning flag swinging and rope twirling.
