Thirty five organizations sponsor entrants in the 12th annual Rowboat Regatta queen contest. Preliminary judging May 20 at 7 p.m. in 2045 Union. twelve finalists chosen for May 30 Regatta day. Finalists wear white shorts and Ts, judges name queen before races.
Phi Gams Treat Phi Gamma Theta at Mills Brothers Circus
Phi Gams took eight deaf children to the Mills Brothers circus yesterday. It is an annual treat for students at the training school, previously held as a party event.

Six Students Accept Map Service Jobs
Six university geography majors have been hired under the civil service act to join the Army Map Service. The trained map makers will be assigned to Washington D C or other map centers. Names include Joseph Balogh Akron Ernest Jackman Akron Ruth Ann Love Stow Dallas A Shrock Barberton Mary Margaret Geib Canton and Robert W Chave Dobbs Ferry N Y. The program was renewed after the war when the department trained many workers for the army map service, following campus interviews by an Army Map Service representative.

Velvet Glove opens on campus after two years absence
Curtain up for The Velvet Glove at 8 15 p m Sunday in the Auditorium marks the Cleveland Play House group on campus for the first time in two years. The 17 week run in Cleveland led to a free student performance sponsored by the University Entertainment committee. Cleveland thespians previously staged The Silver Whistle here in spring 1950 and An Inspector Calls the year before.

Forensics Banquet Plans At Green Trees Inn
