The second annual Professors' Pork Barrel seeks laughs at 7 p.m. in the university auditorium. Tickets 50 cents at Kent hall. no reserved seating. Proceeds aid the World Student Service Fund as Tag Day promotes generosity.
Sigma Delta fraternity nears nationalization after SAE Province Delta approves Kent State as a potential site for a new chapter. Seven Sigma Delta members traveled to Michigan State for the vote and to petition the National Executive Council following convention approval.
Girls wishing to serve as big sisters to incoming freshmen should report to the office of the Dean of Women by the end of the quarter to join the program.
WLW Cincinnati launches Star Search at Kent Theatre beginning tomorrow and running for two Thursdays. KSU students may enter. open to singers dancers and musicians aged 18 or older not dependent on talent for livelihood. First prize 1000 with a 3 month WLW contract. second 500. third 250. Finals May 29 at Kent with regional mount Vernon. Applications available at Theater office 119 Kent.
Vouchers will be handed out daily from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Yearbooks are available today and Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and tomorrow from noon to 4 p.m. Alpha Phi Omega, a national service honorary, oversees the distribution.
At a special Interfraternity council meeting Dean of Men Raymond Manchester urged a uniform plan to include all active members and pledges in fall and winter quarters for the scholarship average. Proposals to count hours and to base the award on one year’s grades were considered and approved by the council.
