Newman Club Plans Spring Semi Formal Dance

The university Newman club sponsors a spring semi formal dance on Saturday May 10 at the Newton Falls Recreation center. Automatic 2 30 permits will be granted all women from 9 p m to 1 a m. Transportation sign ups available at the ticket table in the Atrium corridor, said Newman President Roy Newsome.

Kent State to celebrate Music Week with concert and recital

In recognition of National Music Week May 4 to May 11 Kent State University music department led by Fred H. Denker sponsors a concert by the University Symphony Orchestra conducted by Kenneth Byler and the university choir directed by Caro M. Carapetyan. A. L. Dittmer, assistant professor, presents a voice recital Thursday. All programs start at 8 15 p m with no admission charge.

OAS Elects Three From KSU

At Marietta College the 56th Ohio Academy of Science meeting elected three KSU faculty members as sectional vice presidents. Ralph W. Dexter was named zoology vice president, J A Herrick was selected for plant sciences, and Raymond E. Manchester became mathematics vice president.

Russian Film Alexander Nevsky Shown This Week
