Trustees Boost Fees Appoint New Press Trustees
Kent State University trustees raised student activities fees by 10 dollars per quarter and approved 16 new staff and faculty appointments. The registration fee will rise by 20 to 30 dollars for Ohio residents and 40 to 50 dollars for non residents to align with other state universities. Appointees include Charles W. Omer and several associate and assistant professors across economics language and education. Virginia Crowl becomes assistant order librarian effective June 1 with supervising teachers named for the training school. Harold E. Lionetti named instructor of foreign languages at the training school.

State Play Set for May at the Playhouse

Fourth Estate Pledges Seven Members at Meeting

Army Officer Shortage Plan Outlined by Screening Board
A seven man screening board from 2nd Army headquarters in Baltimore outlined a ten year plan to produce 15 000 regular army officers to fill a 50 000 active officer goal. The board interviewed about 25 candidates at KSA and proposed annual outputs of 1500 officers mainly from ROTC and reserve officers to meet projected losses. Col John H Featherston leads the tour with 21 other boards visiting campuses nationwide.
