Blue Star Dissolves as ISA Hints Merger on Campus

Blue Star party dissolves after a Delta Gamma meeting with Delta Upsilon Friars club and ISA delegates present. ISA may merge with former Blue Star members to form a new party. a drafting meeting was set to establish a constitution and address objections. Bill Kalaher and Len Dockus weighed in on the change.

Five Concerts Headline National Music Week

National Music Week features five concerts in the auditorium this week. Roy D. Metcalf led the Symphonic band last night in a kickoff concert. Wednesday includes the University Civic Symphony Orchestra, with Kent State activities, and Thursday spotlights the junior band, girls glee club, and senior band. Family Day on Sunday offers two concerts at 3 p.m. and an evening combined concert by North Canton High School and Kent State University High School.

Coast Guard Finds Missing Student Robert Allyn

The Coast Guard located 22 year old Robert Allyn a university freshman in business administration who had been missing since Sunday evening after he and a companion failed to return from a 16 foot boat on Lake Erie. He was found with another survivor and the boat late last night. Allyn’s home is in Cleveland.

Travis Displays Work by Paul B. Travis at University Gallery

Drawings and paintings by Paul B. Travis, Cleveland Institute of Art member, will be shown at the university gallery from May 4 to May 20. Travis will give a free public talk on May 9 at 8:30 p.m. in 317 McG, outlining his methods and philosophy.

Sharks Club to Present Water Ballet at Wills Pool

The university Sharks club will stage two water ballet shows on May 12 and 13 at Wills pool with 7 and 8 30 p m performances. Admission is 25 cents. Miss Beverly Seidel directs with Muriel Swain as manager and Pat Maglione assisting. Thirty dancers devised eleven routines featuring scenes from China and India with phosphorescent costumes.

Senior Prom At Portage Hotel In Akron

The senior prom will be held at the Portage Hotel in Akron on Friday June 10. Frankie Reynolds and his orchestra will provide music from 9 p.m. to midnight with late permits for university women. Tickets are two dollars per couple and will be sold in the Booster booth. Seniors may join the prom committee by contacting Phil Brustein through his mailbox.

State Internship Nominations Open for KSU Students

The international committee and Prof. William Taylor form the nominating board to review internship applications in the department of state. Applications are due by 12 noon tomorrow in offices 213M and 114M. Three KSU students will be nominated. the first committee meeting is Thursday at 4 p.m.

Campus Day Plans Discussed

Final plans for Campus Day will be settled at a student social committee meeting at 4 p.m. in the dean of women's office. Chairman Roger Howard announced a lost briefcase containing papers related to the meeting and asked that it be reported if found.

Kent Stater Wins Big at OCNA Convention

The Kent Stater won six awards and became OCNA president after a Springfield Ohio convention. Honors included firsts in makeup typography feature writing and several second and third place finishes for Al Post Sylvester Nemes Dave Freed and Earl Clanton among others.

Senior Gowns To Be Fitted For June Graduation

Fittings for June graduates available at the University Bookstore from May 17 to June 3 by rental receipt order. Off campus students may attend May 21 28 and June 4. Rental fees are 284 for bachelor and 387 for master degrees.

Golf Squad Wins Seventh Straight Victory at Kent State

The KSU golf team claimed its seventh consecutive win by defeating Kent State University Can ton 16 to 0. Loreto George was medalist with a 74, followed by Chuck Heighway 76, Irvin Lemley 77, and Ken Smith 82.

University parents may tour campus facilities Sunday as Cardinal Key hosts its third annual Family Day.
