Kent State Announces New Million Dollar Men’s P E Building
Excavation work has begun on Kent State University’s fourth major postwar expansion project. The new men’s physical education building, costing about one million dollars, will include three basketball courts a tile swimming pool a corrective gym three handball courts and classroom space. The site lies northeast of and adjacent to the football field with completion expected by fall 1950.

Senators Propose Low Cost European Trips For Students
A group of U S senators prepares a resolution to provide low price student transportation to Europe this summer for up to 7500 students and professors. Round trips could cost as little as 250 dollars with first sailings June 4 from New York to channel ports. The plan requires no direct government cost and uses Reserve Maritime Commission troop ships under the State Department cultural affairs division.
