Red Cross Collects $75 In Annual Drive
The Red Cross annual drive began with $75 collected from campus organizations. Peg Curry, chairwoman, said donations will be taken at the atrium tomorrow and Wednesday. Sororities fraternities and off campus groups are invited to contribute as letters were sent, about $100 has been pledged toward a $250 goal. Committee members include Jane McDowell June Wagner Bea Shaheen Gloria Cianciola and Marilou Sowash.

300 Women Placed in Private Homes for Cadets
300 University of Kent women have been moved from dormitories to private homes to make space for army air cadets. Only about 100 rooms remain unfilled. Miss Phyllis Pearson, residences director, announced the appeal to Kent townspeople to rent vacant rooms to students, with support from the Kent Chamber of Commerce and its office facilities.

A radio workshop broadcast titled Harbor Appointment will air today at 4 30 p m over WADC Akron. Frances Allen and Edenard Silverstein wrote the play about two young crooks trying to go straight with sound effects by Bob Raful and Dale Schussler. Silverstein stars with Mary Haines as the innocent sweetheart. Bill Crorey and Bob Telford round out the cast. Miss Allen directs and Dick Wiese is the engineer.
