Kent Debaters Take Second In Ohio Men’s Conference
Kent State University debaters finished second in the Ohio Men’s Conference held at Capital University last weekend. Sixteen colleges competed. Kent earned 230 points to Capital’s 240, winning 10 of 12 debates. The team included Harold Stern Don Wargowsky Scheffel Pierce and Bob Beckwith with one loss each.

Summer Farm Work Planned for Students in Kent
A Department of Agriculture bulletin predicts about 500,000 college and high school students will work on farms or in food processing plants to relieve the farm labor shortage.
