Tri-State Band Clinic Offers Large Ensemble Experience
The band clinic runs Monday July 11 through Friday July 22 offering high school students a chance to perform in a large concert band and orchestra under visiting conductors John Morrissey Urho Seppelin and international drum major champions Karl and Nadine Thurman. University of Kansas State instructors join in with daily rehearsals lessons and recreational activities for participants lodged on campus.

A plane on display for the national air conference collided on the Kent Ravenna road while taxiing to the front campus. James Puichis, 64, of Kent, stated he could not see the wing as he was escorted by a state highway patrol car. He reported limited visibility contributed to the accident.

Furbay Outlines Air Age Focus For Teachers

The senior class elected George A. Hoy as president at a meeting in the auditorium for the September graduating class. Al Serbanuta was chosen as vice president along with Mary Lou Johnson secretary Martin Leiman treasurer and Dawn Kerkoff class historian.
