Slow-Learning Workshop and Music Clinic at Kent State Next Week
The annual slow-learning youth workshop and the band clinic with orchestra and chorus are planned to start Monday July 14 at Kent State University. Sponsored by the department of special education, the workshop targets high school students below average in mental ability with lectures, problem projects, and panels led by experts. Dorothy Pasch of Toledo coordinates the workshop. The music clinic includes private lessons, rehearsals by university faculty, concerts, lectures, and drum majoring classes led by Mary Evelyn Thurman. Both events are expected to proceed as scheduled.
