It lets departments call directly without the atrium switchboard and adds outside calling by dialing 9 while restricted stations use 0. Long distance requires 0 and non restricted stations may call after hours. New phone books available at the switchboard office.

Seniors graduating in September will meet in the auditorium at 3 30 p m Wednesday July 6 for the first organizational session of the class. The meeting is important.
WKSU re appoints Dave Freed as program manager for the summer term. New early morning show Over the Breakfast Table debuts Tuesday at 7 a.m. featuring Bing Crosby records and music with news items. Student announcers include Larry Terrango Marion Courtney and others. continuity staff and special events team listed.
The hub lists hours by day 8:30 a.m. to 10:15 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and Thursday with similar times. It notes an attendance period 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and a stitching session 7:00 p.m. to 10:45 p.m. Closed on Saturdays.

The Cleveland Summer Orchestra under Rudolph Ringwall presented a mature program amid heat, opening with Tschaikovsky and finishing with Wagner. Highlights included the Overture Fantasia and Nutcracker selections, with remarks on the audience’s heat. The program also featured Tales of the Vienna Woods, Porgy and Bess arrangements, Cole Porter favorites, and an encore of Jazz Pizzicato.
Questionnaires sent to all graduating ex G Ls yielded 255 replies. Over 78 percent said GI Bill aid was essential to attend and finish college. More than 54 percent secured employment before graduation, with 83 percent of employed grads in their field of preparation.
At KSU the college of business administration led in graduate numbers ahead of education and liberal arts. About 88 percent of business graduates were ex servicemen, versus 65 percent in liberal arts and 50 percent in education. The text notes business and industry were listed as career preferences for retiring veterans.
The final figure for summer term enrollment reaches 3532, establishing an all time high. Graduate school records nearly 450 graduates, about 200 more than last summer. Last year’s summer enrollment was 3153. Over half of this term’s students are veterans, though the veteran share has declined versus non veterans.
Philip A. Dempsey named editor of the K Book with Martin Dempsey as art editor. The publication aims to help freshmen at fall quarter by outlining school rules customs and student services while noting the constitution will be revised and not included.

KSU remains 15399.63 dollars short of its 75000 dollar goal for a new stadium. Chairman Martin L. Davey Jr released the latest figures as the drive, begun in fall 1947, aims to finish this month. Students contributing fifteen dollars earn a seat dedication. other amounts are welcome.
