Seven Concerts In Nine Days By University A Cappella Choir

Director Caro Carapetyan leads seven performances in nine days for the university A Cappella choir. Schedule includes a Radio Workshop broadcast, then services at West Congregational Akron and First Presbyterian Canton, a campus concert, a Youngstown Presbyterian venue, a Sharon PA stop, and a Youngstown rebroadcast on WFMJ. Men’s Glee Club Elects Officers in First Assembly

The Men's Glee Club elected officers on Tuesday for its first appearance. Charles Stewart was chosen president, Robert Smith vice president, John Lilley secretary, and Walter Chisholm treasurer. The club plans a March 11 all university assembly.

Man-About-Town Theme Dominates Burr Dance Set

Decorations for tomorrow night’s Chestnut Burr ball feature a black and white Man-About-Town theme. A roped restricted dance area, lighted lamppost entrances, glittering shirt fronts, and a queen presentation at intermission define the event. Ohio WWII bonus applications arrive Monday at 10

Bonus applications for World War II veterans in Ohio will be available Monday at 10 a.m. Distribution points include the assistant dean of men offices in the Hub and the veteran's coordinator in the heating plant, plus the atrium. Page 2 contains full instructions.

Accent on Youth at University Theater Receives Tepid Review

Critic Marion Cole calls Accent on Youth a disappointing University Theater production with disjointed dialogue weak character focus and only a few laughs. Cast is faulted for wooden portrayals though technical aspects and sets are noted as adequate, leaving the play seen as cold and uninspired.
