An incomplete list of pilots selected for the secondary CPT training course beginning March 1 was submitted by Adrian Van Wyen. Selections include Dale Shattuck William Searcy James McCune Edward Boyle Fred Swasey E Richard Moore Joe Price and Frank Petee. Ground school will begin after two quotas of 10 students pass physical exams. A total of 30 applications have been received for the preliminary course with at least 10 more needed to reach the quota.

Hertha Glaz Famed Contralto Scheduled for Feb Concert
Famed contralto Hertha Glaz will perform at the University auditorium on Tuesday evening February 18 announced by the school of Music. She has 40 engagements last season in the United States and has sung with the San Francisco Chicago and St Louis Opera companies. She was chosen by Toscanini as soloist with the NBC Symphony Orchestra for a Debussy broadcast last spring. Born in Vienna she trained at the State Academy and joined the Breslau State Opera at 18.

Kruck to Receive U S Air Wings at Kelly Field
Charles W. Kruck, Kent State University sophomore turned flying cadet at Randolph Field Texas, set to earn Air Corps wings after completing basic flight training on February 17.
