Judges Start Search For Model Model
First tryouts for the photography short course contest are set for Thursday February 7 in the auditorium. The model and three attendants will be chosen from remaining finalists and photographed from all angles by four judges Alfred Crowell E Ladislaw Novotny Murray Powers and M A Wolcott. Publicity Director Michael Radock said applications are arriving slowly and urged fair representation from all classes sororities and organizations.

Students Eligible For Certificates At Kent State
Dr. Alice E. Ryder assistant professor of home economics is certified by Washington ARC officials as a nutrition teacher. Portage county ARC will allow students in nutrition and foods courses 185 or 285 to earn certificates upon satisfactory completion. Thirty six students in the two three hour courses may receive credit at term end. The program aims to educate the public on how foods affect health and to improve eating habits. Dr. Ryder may organize local groups in nutrition or canteen work later.

SSA to Discuss 1500 Dollar Charity Drive
Student Service association meets tomorrow at 4 p m in Room 114 Kent Hall to plan a two week charity fund drive anchored by an assembly on Feb 18 at 2 p m. A pledge of 1500 dollars will be split among Red Cross March of Dimes Cancer Research Tuberculosis Relief and World Student Service Fund. SSA will seek one dollar donations from students and faculty at a desk in the hall during the drive.

NTFC To Meet Parts Available For Tryouts

Ninth NEO Press Clinic slated for April 13 at Kent State
After a four year gap the ninth Northeastern Ohio Scholastic Press clinic returns to Kent State University on Saturday April 13. Matt Fenn Kent Stater managing editor will chair the event with Alfred A. Crowell noting the school of journalism sponsorship. About 600 high school students are expected to attend for a campus news event and writing, editorial, photography and sports ratings. Kent Stater and Donaghey cups will be awarded for best newspaper and best replicated publication.
