Alpha Psi Omega will tap pledges during intermission at the university theater formal in Moulton hall from 9 to 12. Bob Cole and his Akron seven piece orchestra will provide music. New Kent Stater Editor Names Policies and Staff

Tom Gavagan announced a new Kent Stater structure with Matt Fenn as managing editor and Norma Knisely as associate editor. Edits include Betty Jane Shumpert and John Thomas for the Friday edition, Ted Phillips as sports editor, Ethel Schirmer and Eleanor Meek continuing as society editors. New features include a music column by Ed Siennicki and a campus life cartoon by Jack Seevers replacing the Duchess humor magazine.

Vet Assembly To Be Tuesday

All veterans invited to a Tuesday 10 a.m. meeting in the auditorium. Dewey Barich, veteran affairs coordinator, will explain credit for college work while in service and changes in the education bill and Public Law 16 including subsistence allowances. The K Vet organization will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Room 219 Kent Hall. President John Fouser announced the gathering to cover election news and a proposed new system of K Vet operation. Fouser urges all veterans to attend.

Frat Bids Due At 4 P M Today

Inter Fraternity council president Robert Moore announces bids for fraternities must reach the dean of men by 4 this afternoon. Bids will be sent to upperclassmen next week and first quarter freshmen wait on college reports. A council meeting is set for Feb 4 at 4 p.m. in Room 302 Kent Hall. All representatives should attend.

MU Banquet Set for Wednesday Evening on Campus

The quarterly men s union banquet for all men on campus will be held Wednesday Feb 6 at 6 pm in the Pythian Sisters hall above the Standard Drug Store. Fred Baker chairman says University president George A Bowman will be principal speaker with Coaches Trevor Rees Wesley Stevens and Harry Adams attending to discuss athletics.

Radio Workshop Faces Suspension Amid Budget Dispute

The speech department suspended all forensic and university theater activities except for the Enchanted Cottage, debates with Case, and the Buckeye Tournament due to budget cuts. Prof. E Turner Stump said radio workshops proceed if Akron studio covers lines. Buckeye entries include Ohio Wesleyan Denison Allegheny Anderson Baldwin Wallace and Western Reserve.

NTFC Specialty Act Deadline Set For Monday Tryouts

Producer Mike Friedland announces Monday entry deadline for NTFC specialty acts. Tryouts occur in the auditorium from 4 to 6 p.m. Actors are sought with speaking and singing leads still open. A new song by Don Warman and Chet Klingensmith has been added to the script.

Perfect Photographer Model Sought For Kent Short Course

Publicity Director Michael Radock predicts a coed will gain national attention as the fifth annual news photography short course runs March 20 to 23. Applications are open by the Kent school of journalism, with the model and two attendees chosen by a board of photographers and editors. Over 300 newsmen will photograph the winner, who may become the most photographed coed in America.

Freshmen and juniors planning to attend the Popularity Ball must pay class dues next week. Mary Jones and Evie Long said dues will be collected by Miss Long in the atrium on Tuesday and Thursday. Freshmen meet Tuesday Feb 5 in Room 17 McGilvrey Hall at 4 p.m.

Enchanted Cottage Opens to Mixed Reception at Local Theater

Play Casting Is Excellent by Bob Casey features strong ensemble work led by A Ed win Suvanto as the neurotic Oliver Bashford. The audience showed listless response though the supporting cast including Dorothy Wolff Glenn Keplinger Oliver Ocas ek Maxine Evelyn Arline Riggle and David Ryan delivered solid performances. Occasional line misses and timing issues tempered the evenings success.

Inter-religious council formed at university meeting

A new inter religious council was formed with representatives from all Greek organizations and independent groups. Bob White of the Wesley foundation and Delta Phi Sigma described the council as handling university religious programs and securing speakers while fostering student religious fervor. A planning meeting is set for Tuesday at 7 pm in Room 210 Kent Hall.
