Pneumonia Forces Postponement of Yes and No Play

Jackie Gelbman contracted pneumonia hours before the freshman production Yes and No. Director Katherine Norton announced the show is postponed with Miss Gelbman sent home to Cleveland. Ticket sales halted. Jan 4 and 5 dates tentatively set. casting may fill the role if she remains ill.

Welles Speaks on Europe After Return From Continent

Sumner Welles returns from Europe to discuss his reactions in an afternoon assembly at 1 p.m. in the auditorium. Born 1892 in New York, he rose through posts in Tokyo and Buenos Aires, led Latin American affairs, and served as undersecretary of state and ambassador to Cuba. The program is arranged by the assembly committee and introduced by President George A. Bowman.

SC Asks Leniency For Campused Girl

The student council approved a letter to Dean Hyatt and the women's league seeking leniency for a girl fined 29 campus suspensions for returning to Engleman dormitory at 6 30 am after Thanksgiving. They argued no published open hours existed and urged publishing dorm rules. The council also settled a $96 62 deficit from the Ak ron Kent dance and dissolved and reformed the committee.

KMK Fraternity to Join Delta Upsilon National Fraternity

About 90 KMK members will be installed into Delta Upsilon tomorrow at Kent Methodist Church at 10 a m. A luncheon reception and banquet follow with distinguished speakers including George A Bowman Horace Nichol and William Wolfe. Frank H Miesse chairs the Kent installation with Paul McNamara toastmaster. Kent women host the reception and the event marks KMK as Delta Upsilon’s sixth Ohio chapter.
