Kent Student Stars In Chicago Music Festival Semi finals
KSU sophomore Suzanne Hurd was named a semi finalist winner for the 22nd Chicagoland Music festival held at KSU. Winners will receive medals and a chance to appear in the August 25 finals at Soldiers Field Chicago. The event features 10,000 performers across vocal solo, choral, accordion, piano, baton twirling, drum majors and concert band.

Traffic Court Positions Open
Two summer traffic court justice roles are open at the university. One position must be held by a male and the other by a female, with at most one member from a Greek organization. Family Life Workshop On Family Living Held In University
Dr Evelyn Millis Duvall headlined a two week family living workshop July 30 to August 10 in the university auditorium. Teachers nurses PTA leaders and administrators attend as scholarships aid participation and the program aims to equip community leaders to counsel in personal and family living and to plan school and church courses.
