Independent Regatta Entries Due Today

Independent groups must declare their intent to enter the Rowboat Regatta by 4 p m today at the State office. Entries become official after swimming tests and fees are paid. Tests available in the university pool on April 29 and 30 from 1 30 to 3 p m.

Senior President Urges Dues Payment for Graduates

Senior class members graduating in June must pay their dues Monday and Tuesday in the atrium to clear graduation records. Don Moore, president, says August graduates should also pay to attend the senior prom and fund a class memorial and picnic.

Pan Campus party fields ticket after dropping Beta Gamma

Pan Campus announces its student council slate for May 6 and drops Beta Gamma sorority from its roster. Senior nominees include Milton Baer Kenny Rickard and Bill Lyon with Edith Galloway. Junior and sophomore candidates feature members from Sigma Tau Gamma Sigma Sigma Sigma and Theta Sigma Upsilon. Beta Gamma split from Pan Campus after a dispute over candidate approvals and later joined the Blue and Gold party.

Bowman Urges Student Help for Undercapacity University Cafeteria

President George A. Bowman appealed for student workers to staff the university cafe where 200 more meals are served this quarter than last with 15 fewer employees. Dietitian Eleanor Hruby seeks students able to work two to three hours daily from 11 a.m. for the noon meal, including weekends, to keep service satisfactory. Applicants should contact Hruby in the west dining room of Lowry Hall at once.

Trustees Approve Faculty Appointments and Changes

The board approved five new faculty positions across health education foreign languages and business history psychology. New instructors include Miss Eleanor Mellert Miss Beverly Seidel and Ber nard Mikofsky plus Robert Esser Stanley Miller Dr. Alfred Sherpan and Dr. Merrell Thompson. resignations include Mrs Opal Boffo and Bruce Handley. Four temporary posts were also added for industrial arts art piano and voice.

Dvorak to Lead Intercollegiate Band at Wisconsin Festival

Raymond F. Dvorak of Wisconsin chosen to lead the 120 piece intercollegiate band for the festival at 2 30 p m Sunday in the university auditorium. Musicians from 11 Ohio colleges join 24 Wisconsin players under Roy D Metcalf who organized the event. Dvorak, Illinois native, heads Wisconsin U band of 200 and has led the Chicago all star band for three years.

After a week of bargaining the Blue and Gold Greek ticket emerges to contest the May 6 student council election. Delta Phi Sigma joins with Beta Gamma and Kappa Sigma Chi to form the new group while Alpha Omega and Celts decline or walk out. Harry Ford and George Papp lead the slate with juniors John Fouser Jo Douglas Larry Sauber Randy Newhouse and Marcia Traxler Mickey Yeager supporting the ticket.
