Delegates to Meet At May 18 Session
The university campus hosts the Ohio Veterans Intercollegiate Association meeting on Saturday May 18 with ex-GIs from 45 Ohio colleges. Eight KSU students attended the Columbus gathering including three women. Representing the university were Sullivan Earhart Thompson Newsome Yerman and coed veterans Gray Zittlau Jonaitis. The main purpose is adopting a constitution based on other Ohio colleges documents.

New Trophies For State Regatta
State sponsored Rowboat Regatta awards two new trophies a rotating men's prize and a permanent women's prize funded by Terese Green per director Tom Gavagan. Al Post and Roy Newsome will handle race broadcasting, and swimming tests are planned today at the university pool from 1 30 to 3 p m with a two length qualifier.

Penny Drive Nets $584 at Campus Carnival
Nearly 1,000 people attended the Penny Carnival raising 584.78 to send Staters to men in service. Gate receipts were 96.65 from 966 paid admissions. Sigma Sigma Sigma won the sorority prize, with Sigma Tau Gamma and Engleman Hall winning in the fraternity and dormitory divisions.

SC Students Vote on Election Rules Reforms
The student council rejected two reform proposals for the coming election and denied a Coalition plan to sponsor a dance. A Blue and Gold request to allow party members at the polls was also rejected. Chair Barbara McDowell urged updated rules for a campus of over 2,000 students.

Gals Attend Freedom U Dances With New Sign In Rule
The faculty social committee approved a rule letting women sign in an hour and a half after dances end and allowing campus groups to host dances until 1 a m except the senior prom which ends at 2 a m. The prior limit was midnight for informal dances.

The States editorial staff and faculty invite written essays up to 150 words to nominate an outstanding university mother. Four Queen Mothers will be chosen for two issues, with a final selection by three faculty members from four candidates.
