Kent State’s Kappa Sigma Chi receives word from the National Conclave in Hot Springs Arkansas that Kappa Sigma will become the seventh national fraternity on campus. No activation date set. The Kent State chapter traces back to 1929 and 1931, with other Ohio groups at Denison Ohio State Ohio Wesleyan and Bowling Green.

Golden Flash Band to Appear on WEWS TV
The Golden Flash Band will appear on WEWS Cleveland tomorrow from 6 to 6 30 p m for its second television appearance. Baton twirling by Joyce Conkle Peggy Snyder and Janet Rogers will be showcased along with saxophone soloist John Bonar playing Estilian Caprice with band accompaniment. The band is under Roy T Metcalf's direction.

Transmitter Bids Received On FM Station WKSU FM
The university receives bids on three transmitter units for WKSU FM with a 50 foot antenna tower ordered to sit atop Kent Hall Radio Workshop. Elevation will reach 1257 feet above sea level making it Kent's tallest structure. Estimated cost is 3245 dollars for transmitter antenna turntables and installations. End of quarter air date is expected per Walton Clarke assistant director of speech and Radio Workshop.
