Seven organizations receive funds at final Allocations meeting
The Allocations committee finalized the quarter by approving budgets for seven groups including Band Chestnut Burr Intramural athletics Kent Stater Radio Workshop and University theater. Chestnut Burr received 426 of 606 surplus while Women's League cut 176 and Radio Workshop trimmed 25 items.

Parking ban begins April 24 near Wills gym courts
Starting Monday April 24 no parking on the tennis courts behind Wills gym as the traffic department enforces a ban to keep the area for varsity tennis. The Terrace Drive lot area formerly open to students becomes faculty parking on that date.

School For Husbands Premiere At University Tonight

Choose Officers To Inspect ROTC
The inspecting officers for the spring ROTC inspection on May 18 have been announced. Col. Henry W. Robinson, G-3, Eastern Pennsylvania District, Lieut. Col. Philip W. Burges, Maj. Michael Boymer, and Capt. Samuel S. Wray Jr. will lead the inspection. the last three are with the Third Armored Division at Fort Knox Kentucky.

Three new appointments were made at a Blue Key meeting Tuesday night. Chuck Fletcher becomes head of the Athletic committee, Fred Scadding chairs the Banquet committee, and Guy Shelley leads the Constitution committee, announced by Blue Key president Bill Kalaher. The sale of student directories by Blue Key members runs through Friday April 21.

An Air Force officer team will visit today tomorrow and Monday to interview college students for officer careers. Benjamin M. Terry coordinates advance arrangements as the nationwide program aims to build a largely college graduate officer corps. Interviews will be held in 2010.
