One-man UC Gym Team Ties for Fourth in Meet

Joe Kotys competed as a one-man gymnastics team for the University of California at the seventh annual NCAA meet in Berkeley. He tied the California ten-man squad for fourth place, with teams from Michigan State Southern California Army and Michigan trailing. Full details appear on page 4.

Paskert Announces K Day Plans Near Completion

Kent State Varsity K club readies its second annual K day on Saturday April 30 with Dick Paskett overseeing. 800 former K men invited along with 75 honored guests and about 150 high schools represented. Colgate game leads a day including Wooster track Fenn tennis Case Tech golf.

Visiting Artist Displays Work at Kent State Gallery

Robert Morrow visiting artist at Kent State University is among seven artists showing at the Ten Thirty gallery in Cleveland. The exhibition runs April 14 to May 7 and features six of Morrow’s drawings and paintings. Also on view are works by Mrs. Morrow, a former part time Kent faculty member. All other artists are from Cleveland. Both Morrows have prior gallery exposure.

WKSU Airs Party Views Schedule and Play Salome

WKSU will air political broadcasts by Blue and Gold and ISA from 5:15 to 5:30 today and tomorrow with a non partisan summary on Thursday. Music fills 4:30 to 5:00 and news 5:00 to 5:15. Friday features a radio workshop show. The week’s play is Salome adapted by Clem Scerback.

Kent State Faculty to Lead Ohio Academy of Science Meeting

Kent State University representatives will play key roles at the Ohio Academy of Science annual meeting at Denison University in Granville from April 21 to 23. Dean of Men Raymond Manchester and Dr. Edna Eisen will oversee mathematics and geography sessions, with four geography presenters and papers from biology and chemistry faculty and students.

Parking lot to tennis courts behind Wills gym

Frank E Ballenger of the HPE department says the lot behind Wills gym becomes tennis courts on Wednesday with cars banned from morning. Nets up by noon if weather allows and students must register at the gym bulletin board. Courts behind Terrace lodge open 4 to 6 pm weekdays and 1 to 6 pm weekends with activity cards required.

University Family Day set for May with open house

Parents get a campus tour on Family Day May 8 including open houses in all departments and the new university hospital. Fraternity sorority houses and dorms will also welcome visitors.
