Fire damages Terrace Lodge on University grounds
A small blaze in Barrack D of Terrace Lodge, origin undetermined, was extinguished by University police and Kent Fire Department after smoke was seen at 5 pm by student George Adams. Firefighters stopped the fire before city units arrived. illegal parking hindered access.

To Hold Hygiene Conference Here
The Northeastern Ohio Mental Hygiene conference will be held Saturday May 3 in the Union. The program is planned on an inter professional basis. The keynote asks how well community mental health needs are met. A panel will discuss improving mental health through psychiatrist and psychologist cooperation.

Debaters Win All Honors at Kalamazoo Tourney
KSU debaters Tom McManus Al Pontius and Ron Rice captured top honors at the Pi Kappa Delta tournament at Kalamazoo College Kalamazoo Michigan. McManus and Pontius debated both sides of the wage and price controls question going undefeated to win first place while Rice earned second in the peace oratory contest. The event drew colleges from Ohio Michigan Pennsylvania and West Virginia and ran Monday through Wednesday with all three bringing home gold and silver medals.
