Election plan approved after ballot errors prompt special vote
Chuck DeSalle urged a two week special Senior Council election to fix ballot mistakes omitting Dick Patterson and misplacing Bernie Komar. The council passed the motion with Phi Sigma Kappa offering to fund if needed. The new council will be seated next Wednesday and a test for members set for Tuesday at 4 PM in Union room 202.

Applications for Cardinal Key, the women's national service honorary, are available in the Dean of Women's Office per Marty Kinnamon. Eligibility requires a 2.5 cumulative average and junior or senior class standing. Members are selected for scholarship leadership character and service to the university with applications due by Wednesday April 23 at 4 p.m.

Seniors Are KS Guests on Campus This Saturday
About 500 high school seniors, among 11000 in the State General Scholarship tests, will visit Kent State for a day event hosted by Kappa Delta Pi. Dr. Charles Atkinson greets attendees at 9 a.m. in the Auditorium followed by a skit and campus tour. The day ends with refreshments, football game films, and a baseball game vs Bowling Green.

Increase In Student Voter Turnout Reported
Over 1,300 students voted in the elections yesterday with 1,145 ballots cast for Student council and Men's union. The junior class led with 409 votes, seniors 372, and sophomores 368. Many ballots were invalid, especially 59 for Student council among sophomores.

Plan Inspection For Kent ROTC
More than 700 Infantry and Air ROTC students are expected to participate in the annual spring inspection to be held here April 29 and 30. The two units will hold a joint inspection April 29 while the Air will have another inspection on April 30. The inspection will include observation of teaching methods oral questioning performance tests a parade or review and a drill down. Inspecting officers for the Infantry include Col. Donald Mc Grayen Maj. Harold L. Fillmore Maj. Harry DeMetropolis and Capt. James P. Pero. The Air unit has not yet received its list of inspecting officers yet.
