Cancer Drive New Underway at KSU and Union venues
Cancer drive opened Monday at KSU with donation boxes at the Information booth Booster booth Library Hospital and Union rooms including the check room billiard room and bowling alley. Funds support research patient services and education. Portage County benefits include instruments such as a Philips Contact X Ray Therapy machine and an Auto Technican Microscopic Slides machine at Robinson Memorial hospital. A loan cabinet offers bedside articles and the drive ends Friday.

Campus Day Chairmen Set Meeting For June 2 Activities
Independent fraternity and sorority chairmen of the parade floats and songfest for Campus Day, June 2, will meet at 4 p.m. Monday in 214K to discuss rules and final arrangements. Bob Weber leads songfest while John Little handles parade floats. Robert Morrow and Prof. Ralph E. Hartzell arrange judges for parade and songfest. The K girl presentation by DA kicks off the day, May queen crowned at noon, then parade. Songfest at 6 p.m. and dance in Wills gym 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Float judging begins 10:30 a.m. with a second pass-by judges’ stand on Main Street.

Geology Department Gem Cutting Demo At Arts Festival
The Geology department hosts a gem cutting demonstration from 4 to 5 in 155 McG with a diamond saw and grinding and buffing saws. Glenn Frank will perform the cutting while Henry H Gray explains and answers questions. Agate will be shown along with other stones.
