Five Student Appointments On Ballot Amendment Changes
The student council revised an amendment to the student faculty committee to appear on next Tuesday's ballot. If ratified the council will appoint two two year members this year and three next year forming a five student four faculty panel. Several resignations were noted including three from the Elections committee and replacements named. The NA invited two members to a May 5 conference at John Carroll University. The Who's Who plan was tabled and the Marine Band appearance was discussed for next fall.

Army Set to Release Reservists From Inactive Duty
Assistant Defense Secretary Anna Rosenberg testified the Army will begin returning all enlisted men from the inactive reserve called to Korea service, with final releases by December 31. No further calls from inactive reserve enlisted ranks planned unless emergencies arise. May draft call cut from 60 000 to 40 000, joining April reduction to 40 000 while enlistments rise.

New University Religious Council Formed on Campus
A new campus religious council brings together four groups Lutheran Student Fellowship Christian Science organization United Christian Fellowship and Wesley Foundation. It includes two members from each group plus board member two from the Presidents Advisory Committee on Religious Activities ministers to students and a Ministerial Association representative. Officers elected for the next school year are Co chairs Rev Charles V Ireland Joanne Kanzaki Treasurer Don Safford and Secretary Ruth Bagby. The council replaces the inactive Interdenominational Student Christian Council from 1949 and aims to expand activities to serve all students.
